What is Music for the Cure? Music for a Cure is a non-profit organization founded, in 2002, by a few members of Sugar Ray, in remembrance of Ryan Michael Bates who at the age of 16 lost his battle against cancer. Music for a Cure's mission is to bring the healing power of music to critically ill children just like Ryan by providing them with quality musical instruments, supporting music therapists and music therapy programs at local children's hospitals.
